We're currently supporting Services Australia in the engagement of an experienced Project Manager (EL1 equivalent) to join a high-profile program delivering critical digital services that support millions of Australians.

This role sits within the broader DVA ecosystem and will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of complex projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and in alignment with organisational objectives.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and business representatives, you'll play a key role in driving project outcomes and supporting strategic initiatives across the agency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, deliver, and monitor projects that may have organisation-wide impact.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain project plans, schedules, and delivery frameworks.
  • Ensure project milestones, deliverables, and outcomes are achieved within agreed timeframes and budgets.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
  • Contribute to project governance, reporting, and operational integration activities.
  • Coordinate strategic planning activities and support long-term project initiatives.
  • Lead project teams and support performance, capability development, and workforce planning.
  • Provide expert project advice and recommendations to senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including business cases, executive briefs, reports, and governance papers.
  • Manage project budgets, procurement activities, contracts, and expenditure tracking.
  • Identify, assess, manage, and escalate project risks, issues, dependencies, and benefits.
  • Monitor project performance and quality to ensure deliverables meet business and client requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to drive successful project outcomes.


The successful candidate will work within a collaborative delivery environment alongside Software Architects, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Testers.
